PETIT GALOP Granny Fox Farm ~ Goshen, New York |

CAMP LIFE |
Upon arrival at Granny Fox Farm campers will share in an orientation session and tour of the facility. They will get to meet their fellow campers as well as the staff, horses and ponies and review the basic safety rules and procedures. Their riding skills will be evaluated and horses or ponies will be assigned accordingly. The Loft and Tipi, located just steps from the barn, comfortably houses students and staff and contains private bathrooms and hot showers. Climate control and comfortable bunk beds with full size twin mattresses and cotton linens ensure a restful night of sleep. Each camper has her own dresser for storage of her clothing and personal belongings. A separate mudroom is used to store riding equipment and barn gear, helping to keep sleeping quarters tidy and clean. Mealtime is shared family style in our indoor/outdoor dining area. We feast on tasty & nutritious fare, including fresh vegetables which kids have grown themselves in our organic garden. Breakfast is served from 8:00—9:00, lunch at 1:00 and dinner at 7:00. Snacks and beverages are available around the clock. Occasional picnics and campfire cookouts add to the fun. Evening activities after dinner are mostly a matter of choice. Campers can watch the sunset from a high hilltop overlooking the farm, see their horses grazing in the moonlight and gaze at stars in the clear evening sky. They might gather around a campfire telling stories of the day’s adventures, sing songs, play games, watch movies, curl up with a good book or simply giggle with friends. |
