summer horse back riding camp

Our Summer Horsemanship Program is offered as a residential and day camp in 1 and 2 week
sessions from late June— August. Because of its small size, with no more than 20 girls per
session, each camper is sure to get plenty of individual attention. In addition to daily riding
lessons, she will be taught the hands on skills needed to keep her assigned horse or pony
healthy & happy; including feeding, grooming, bathing, mucking and turnout.

While mornings are reserved for horsemanship afternoons offer a wide range of
non-equestrian adventures & activities both on and off our 78-acre campus . We are just
minutes from numerous lakes, rivers, golf courses, museums and Harriman State Park.
Choices such as swimming, biking, hiking, tennis, golf, arts & crafts and even gardening
in our organic vegetable garden ensure a well rounded summer experience.

Riding lessons take place in our large indoor and outdoor riding arenas, on trails and in open
fields in small groups of no more than 6 students grouped according to their skill level.
While extensive experience is not required, a few lessons are recommended prior to
attending camp.
